How do I wash my SILKE Pillowcase?

As the our pillowcase is made from the highest quality silk – it is machine-washable. Place inside a delicates bag and wash on a cool, delicate cycle with a gentle liquid detergent. Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry. Avoid bleach, soaking or wringing.

How is it different from cotton or synthetic satin?
