Meet Liz Thornton, Chief Engineer and Designer of the Casco Flip Disc

After learning about the benefits of menstrual cups and conducting market research, I designed Casco’s first cups. We produced medical-grade silicone cups in our Maine factory. Trying it myself, I found it life-changing for managing heavy periods, especially since I am a longtime sufferer from endometriosis.

Noticing issues with other brands’ cloth bags, we developed the stylish, breathable Casco Aqua Case. I also designed a versatile disc with a deeper catch for heavy flow and a 360-degree finger groove for easy removal. It’s been an incredible journey creating products that positively impact lives and the planet.
